An accident occurred on Vidyasagar Setu when two buses were reportedly racing to overtake each other on the route from Santragachi to Dharmatala.
Eyewitnesses revealed that one of the buses lost control and collided with a goods train, causing injuries to several passengers on board. The injured individuals were promptly transferred to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata for medical treatment.The collision resulted in a traffic jam on Vidyasagar Bridge, prompting intervention from the police stationed at Hastings police station in Kolkata.
Authorities swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the traffic congestion and restore normalcy to the area, alleviating the disruption caused by the accident.
